The Only Free Academy in Arusha

Every child who trains at Satino does so at zero cost. Equipment, transportation, meals, and tournament fees are all covered. Football should not be gated by a family's income.

Our Mission

More Than a
Football Academy

Satino is rooted in the Sinoni neighborhood of Arusha, in the shadow of Mount Meru. Football is our vehicle. Our destination is the whole child.

Our coaches are all from the local community. They serve as mentors on and off the pitch. In under two years, one player reached the Tanzanian National Youth Camp. Another was selected to the Young Boys Academy, linked to a professional Danish club. We have competed at the Chipkizi Cup twice.

One player selected to the national youth camp in Tanga. Professional coaching. Three meals a day. The highest level of youth football in Tanzania.

Chipkizi Cup — 2023 & 2024

The largest youth international tournament in Southeast Africa. Our U15 reached the quarterfinals in 2023, competing against Kenya, Uganda, Burundi, South Africa, and Mali. Our U13 made it to the semi-finals in 2024. chipkizicup.com

Partnership with Focus Foundation and its leader Tess, who brought in projects completed by Ajax Amsterdam, Vodafone Ziggo, Montessorischool De Meidoorn - Amsterdam, M.S.V.'71 - Maassluis, and Bauhaus ArtITech.

A player selected to the Young Boys Academy in Arusha, established by Danish club Young Boys FD. This reflects our philosophy of developing talent and moving players up to the next level.

A registered Dutch NGO built on relational development. Founded by Tess Oudendijk after her time in Sinoni. The Focus Foundation has assembled a serious Dutch network around SFA: Ajax Amsterdam, VodafoneZiggo, and multiple Amsterdam institutions.
