What the Academy Needs

The deterioration of footballs
is a persistent problem.

Our pitch is rough ground. Frequent rain fills it with muddy puddles. Footballs deteriorate fast. With nearly 100 players training regularly, we have approximately 3 to 4 proper balls at any given time. Player development demands far more touches on the ball than that allows. We accept football donations and financial contributions to purchase new balls.

Boys & girls can only play
if they have safe footwear.

Playing in rubber sandals on the tindiga is unsafe. For many families in Sinoni, purchasing proper boots is not possible. We work to provide safe footwear whenever we can.

A shoe drive is one of the most direct and tangible ways to support the academy. The Nijhawan family of Dallas, Texas ran our 2023 collection and delivery. Flip, a volunteer from the Netherlands, personally donated a set of boots to several players. Both efforts made an immediate difference.

This is an excellent opportunity for middle and high school students looking for a meaningful extracurricular connected to global citizenship. Schools, clubs, companies, and individuals are all welcome to organize one.

We work to provide it whenever possible. A donation of boots changes whether a child trains this week.

Training at Sinoni

Come to Sinoni.

Satino Football Academy exists under CHAYETEO, an organization founded and led by Weza in Arusha, Tanzania. CHAYETEO runs school programs, arts initiatives, and community development alongside the football academy. It is the root system that made SFA possible.

Weza brought the founding vision of this academy to life. If you want to come to Sinoni and contribute meaningfully, his Workaway listing is where you start. It connects volunteers with football, teaching, and artistic skills to the CHAYETEO programs on the ground.

Visits should be purposeful and planned. We build relationships here, not one-time experiences. If you are serious about coming, reach out directly.
