Our Teams

Our youngest boys train at Tindiga, the pitch where Satino started. They come from the streets and compounds right around Sinoni. Parents trust this group because the setting is close to home and the coaching stays age-appropriate. From the first months of the academy we treated U7 as a real team (friendlies, Pamoja 5v5s, and matches against academies like Future Stars), not a waiting room. Technical Coordinator Abou Juma and coach Nasoro Ayubu keep this age band staffed on the identity pitch so the littlest players learn the ball, the habits, and the friendships that feed every older team.

Once boys age past the U7s, they step into Under 9s. They are still based around Sinoni and Tindiga, and still grown by relationship. Abou visits homes before a boy signs and asks players to bring friends from school and the street. That is how the group fills. U9s get regular games against clubs that play fair ages (Young Life, New Vision, Future Stars, local invites) and they already have tournament miles. Their first organized matches came in the 2023 Vijana Cup, and in Vijana 2024 they finished 2nd after drawing every game. They are no longer the youngest on the pitch. They are the bridge between foundation play and the U11/U13 pathway.

Our U11s finished second in the first edition of the 2026 Arumeru Youth League, the strongest U11 competition in Northern Tanzania. They play 7v7 there, against academies from across the district, and they came within one place of winning it. The team exists at all because of how quickly the academy grew: it was created in February 2024 when the U13 group overflowed from 23 to 46 players in a matter of months. Our technical coordinator Abou Juma visits the home of every player before they sign, and he asks them to bring friends from school and the street. That is how the academy grows, through relationships rather than recruitment, and two years on that group of friends is a runners-up side.

The U13s are the standard-bearers of this program. In December 2025 they were crowned Arusha District champions by the ADFA, beating CTIDO 2-1 in the final. In the 2026 Arumeru Youth League, Fahad Yassin won the Golden Boot with 25 goals. At the 2024 Chipkizi Cup, Southeast Africa's largest youth international tournament, the U13s beat three Kenyan sides and Fountain Gates A. Anuar was named player of the tournament, scoring 6 goals in 4 games before being selected as the only Arusha player to Tanzania's inaugural U13 national team, relocating to the TFF camp in Tanga. The U13s carry themselves with a professional attitude that draws comments at every tournament. We expect more of these players to move on to higher levels. That is exactly the point.

The 2023 Chipkizi Cup run is the standard every SFA team now measures itself against. Undefeated in group play. Down 2-4 in one match, they tied in dying minutes. Down 0-1 at halftime in a win-or-go-home match, they won 2-1. They fell to the eventual champions, Kenya's Midcity Soccer Academy, in the quarterfinals. They were back at the Chipkizi Cup again in 2024. This team trains through rain cancellations and around players who work to support their families. What they built that tournament week is a direct reflection of what our coaches put into them every session.

The U17s include Sancho, selected to the Arusha Talent Team for the Pamoja Cup 2023. Many of these players have been part of the Satino program since before the academy's formal founding. They are the living connection between where we came from and where we are going.
